Meet the Founder of YCGM
My name is Sheri & shortly after my 15th birthday I was groomed and trafficked by my high school boyfriends’ father and was repeatedly sold for sex. For many years I was trafficked, raped, photographed for pornography, and forced to partake in unspeakable things. I experienced physical and mental abuse at the hands of many people and was subjected to threats of violence to my family if I told anyone, as well as blackmailed to keep me silent and compliant.
My hope is that by sharing my story, I not only open eyes to the fact that anyone can be groomed, but to also show the many ways that grooming can occur - such as online - and to get parents involved in learning how groomers seek out their kids with the end goal of obtaining sexual pictures to sell to pedophile rings or to meet your kid in person.
Trafficking in America, if you are trafficked in the United States,
85 percent of victims that are trafficked here are from here.
